That's seriously mediocre
Yes, it’s pretty disappointing for a First wine list. The champagne is nothing special, the reds are expensive (the Shiraz is $210 a bottle at Dan Murphy) but didn’t really impress.

I’m on CX First tomorrow with Krug as their champagne offering and SQ in a few weeks with their Cristal special, those are wine lists that match the First expectation.

But don’t you think that nevertheless there should be a First Class-worthy drinks list being available for those that can / want to drink during their flight?
i don’t like wine so doesn’t bother me .

Just buy a nice bottle then from your bottle shop ? Then spending first class tickets .
It would also mean they have to increase ticket prices if they have fancy wines .

Qantas First has had much better wine lists in the past - did the fares drop when the wine list quality dipped?

Much like your argument that it's impossible to deliver a consistently well cooked steak on a plane, other airlines manage to serve a better product. What's so special about Qantas?

Not that price is always an indicator of quality, but for comparison that QF1 wine list has an average street price in Australia of $126/bottle (excluding the dessert wines).

The CX F flight I’m on right now has an average price of $298, though that is skewed by the champagnes (2004 Krug at $700 and 2013 Rare at $450).

The first class lounge is pretty special
