Just got an email promoting what is clearly the Tarrawarra Barbera. Have always really enjoyed this as a great food wine!

Barbera 2021 - Birthday Deal #57721 - Red Wine

95 point Halliday ratings don't just get thrown around for laughs, this is serious. Well, sort of. The wine its self is lively, friendly even, yet complex and, yes, serious, in its own way. Beautiful dark fruit, warming spice and classically Italian structural acid - extremely well done.

I bought a couple of these, not sure where they went. Must have drunk them as I don't have them in the cellar. I really rated the General especially the 2012

I've ordered the 1880, the reviews of The Cuttings were mixed, so haven't ventured that one yet. I'm actually on the Poonawatta mailing list and buy the Red Belly Black Sparkling red and have a couple of other still reds from the last buy to try once the 1880 arrives.

If it is Poon than I'm a big wrap for them. Visited them back in 2015... super impressed and if it is 1880 then @ $50 it's a gem. I've had it over the years and loved it. I also bought a 6 pack of this deal... just in case

Their new sparkling red is delish also. All their gear is quality!
