Guys I will have 6 hours to kill in MIA - I would assume Admirals Club is best lounge to frequent?
Marco Polo Diamond if that helps? Ticketed First LAX-MIA / Business MIA-POPThe 2 AA lounges are similar. There is a 3rd ba/AA lounge, but access rights are murky as an associated lounge.
Hop on the bus to south beach. Costs about a fiver return, takes about 30 minutes each way.
You could either hangout on the beach or check out the stores down Collins avenue (near 15th st)
or Lincoln rd mall. Much better than any airport lounge, especially admirals!!

No I really appreciate the input - I will be feeling no pain I can assure you - just need to get somewhere near horizontal and No the floor won't cut it.
That may be a little bit of a problem. I don't remember which Admirals I went to but I don't remember seeing any couch large enough to take a sleep on... Infact from memory they where all armchairs which did not have very high backs on them at all, so sleeping would have been very uncomfortable.
Was in Admirals Club in MIA near D30 - I assume that is the bigger of the 2 AC's.
Arrived 06:30 and departed 12:00 - furtherest from entry door is 2 sets of chairs with no arm / sides on them - placed another chair to end of one set of these chairs and got a great 3 hour kip.
Very ordinary lounge - hate the way you gotta pay for food and drinks - are we spoilt or are the Yanks deprived?
Thanks to all those contributors who offered assistance.
Goldy thanks for your input - however I will be coming off 3 nights of sleepless drunken revelry in Las Vegas - heading to 4 nights of serious partying in DR - shopping aint really what I will be looking for.
I was at both MIA Admirals clubs last week (different days). The ladies on the door tried to refuse me access with my current QF Gold card and AA boarding pass. Stood my ground and got in.
Not OT at all - god that stupid WiFi system they have - they are changing ALL their lounges to open access with no login required I was told - it took me like 20 mins in LAX to login - mind you I know I am not real clever.OT, I've noticed the Admirals Clubs have recently switched to open free wifi (rather than handing out tokens). Was at ORD the other day, and the wifi provided by AT&T was very good. Qantas - please take note.
