Made a booking at HSW for Christmas Eve last week for ~$240. Thanking my lucky stars it was flexible.

Have rebooked for $127.50.

Remember some Exec lounges are closed at Hiltons around Australia, pretty sure HSW is not though.

Will I be seeing any AFF'ers over Christmas at HSW?

Both HSP and Hilton Cairns are under the $100 mark in December. Certainly interesting ideas for a couple of cheap stays to requalify. Thanks futaris!

Only last week did I decide to switch from Flexible to fixed, I feel ripped off, oh well.

Ya win some and ya lose some ... I have a prepaid rate BNE for next Tuesday, would have saved up to $50!

(Showing $101)

Found some nights at Parmelia Hilton Perth for $77. Feel ripped off that I am paying $98

Jeez. Throw in the Hilton Macquarie 20% discount and you're paying more for breakfast for two than you are for the room.

re: Hilton "Thankyou" Offer for 50% Off BAR Between December 14 to January 7

It seems that Hilton Sydney is not participating.

I agree.
I have already locked in 2 nights at HSW for the AFF dinner so I lost on that, but I have some stays in Europe after Xmas which I hadn't booked yet and I've won on those

BTW - thanks for the heads up futaris.

Be aware that with this rate - the Maq discount rate may be deemed not to apply.

I cancelled a "Welcome $99" booking at the HSW for this Saturday in favor of a $120 rate, expecting $96 with MCQ discount for this Saturday:
It even cheaper after applying the Maq 20% than the $99 rate I had booked (by $3).

Just checking this booking and my comments box has changed from my standard:
Code:
2 Guests using HHonors Spouse Stays Free
-- Maquarie Premium Card 20 pc disc.
to
Code:
2 Guests - HHonors Diamond Spouse Benefit :Macquarie
Premium ClubDiscount not applicable!:MCQ MEMBER

I do note the "details" landing page has the following:
TERMS AND CONDITIONS

I did make the change as well. I considered that it may not get the discount, but thought I'd rather keep the $99 card for another day when it makes more of a difference.

?maybe Perth Hilton:p

Hmmm ... $99 getting nufin' versus $120 to get 1000 QFF points + ~3500 HHonors (stay credit means little at this stage).

Is that worth $21 ...

(as far as the $99 card goes - I have two)

Can you change back

Showing up stupid rates for HSW between Xmas and NY, much cheaper under anyweekend promo.
Although some $107 rates just after NY.

Brisbane is now pricing out at $88 for many nights which as a diamond is not bad value considering Breakfast is superb and you also net 2k QFF points.
