This post is related to my trip report at http://www.australianfrequentflyer....-photos/f-indulgence-3-lakes-black-52221.html.
We are strong fans of apartments over hotels for our travels and our experiences on this trip reinforced our views.
A superb location, absolute lake front with perhaps an acre or so of spare land. An apartment with a big bedroom, big lounge area with foldout bed if required. The deck over the lake with a table, seats & sun lounges is an absolute winner. There is also another deck on the non-lake side. The bathroom (washing machine included) was fine with bidet and there is plenty of hot water however I found the shower above the mini bath a hassle-the bath has 2 levels & my (big) feet will not fit as a pair & the shower screen wraps around me. Similarly I find the very low slung bed a bit of a nuisance to get out of (maybe it was soon after the flight) & we put the extra doona to use to soften the hard bed. There is a very efficient central heating system that is handy at night time. There is a good sized fridge but we don’t use any of the other very small kitchen facilities. To get to the town centre we had the option of walking up over the hill or our preferred wander along the well lit path that hugged the edge of the lake.
The owner picked us up & dropped us back to rail station which for us was a great bonus. Also all email correspondence was handled in great fashion.
This is certainly lake front
General internal layout
Comfortable facilities & washing machine
Lounge area
Bedroom with access to deck over lake
