King Club Studio 2 nights
We had done a lot of looking before booking (through Hotel Club) this hotel. Deciding factors ended up being lounge access + approx $50Aust included mini-bar, breakfast, good pool & free internet for the same cost of a standard room at some other hotels. Check-in seemed a bit laborious but covered all bases. Room 23-16 was a great pickup, 23[SUP]rd[/SUP] level, over 50sq metres of recently renovated room, great view of twin towers, well away from the lift & air con that was nice & cold. Big, comfortable king bed with plenty of pillows, excellent shower, separate loo (3 way style bathroom), bath & 2 sinks. Drinks & canapés were from 6pm-8pm but no conversation with fellow guests on either night as we were the only participants - excellent food constantly topped up by chefs, super cold Tiger beer & an apparently excellent white wine bought to our lounge seats that looked at the Twin Towers (spirits seemed to be in no name bottles & the scotch I tried was Ok but nothing special). We ate breakfast in the lounge (general spot available also) & there was plenty of choice of hot/cold, Western/Asian, with eggs cooked to order-shared lounge with 1 other 1 morning & 3 others on the other morning. The hotel is a big sprawling affair, staff of all ranks acknowledge guests without fail. Concierge went out of his way to print our boarding passes. The wired, unlimited in-room internet worked very well. The fridge was not very cold & the mentioned included mini bar was 3 beers, 2 waters & 6 soft drinks. A problem with a noisy air conditioner was responded to within about 3 minutes & fixed in a slightly longer time. Normal last checkout is noon & we were allowed 1pm - All in all a highly recommended stay.
