This was our first stay at this brand. It is SPG's long stay concept.Status means nothing here.upgrades are not a brand standard and everyone gets free brekkie, internet and happy hour with free beer and wine and hot and cold snacks.
We stayed because it has a guest laundry but also because it offered birth year rates so it was $46 a night.
Basic furnishings,a full kitchen but no bath tub-

Now the place was is only 4-5 years old but lots of wear.Couldn't put the blind down, plug in basin non operative, shampoo dispenser blocked.got maintenance up but only the plug in the basin fixed.
Biggest problem is that they have no compendium to say what is available and where things are.You are meant to be told on checking in but at night on the weekend this certainly didn't happen.for example we only found out about the happy hour when on the last night we got back a little earlier just before 1900 and found it on.Apparently every Monday to Thursday night 1730-1900.
Breakfast was sufficient with scrambled eggs, bacon, pancakes and uninspiring breakfast burritos along with ceral, yoghurt, fruit and limited bakery items.

So probably suitable for those with young families or those who like self catering but we will not be back to an Element in a hurry.

I stayed the Element MIA last year and the experience is idential to yours at the Element DFW.

I think the MIA property is newer (1 or 2 years old) so I didn't experience the wear & tear problems that your property had.

Free breakfast as well, scrambled eggs, toasts, pastries. No room service though which I think is a brand standard, so if you wanted something, you would go down and purchase 'reheatable' items and reheat them in your room using the full kitchen provided in-room.

I stayed here closer to when it first opened. Obviously no wear and tear issues at that stage - but clearly built to a price. Not brand standard but I did get an upgrade to a one bedroom from a studio - other than a wall in the middle of the room it doesn't look much different than the studio photos.

Shuttle to and from the airport was prompt - so full marks for that. Also being a transit stop I didn't have a car so was pretty much limited to the service station close by and an Indian restaurant, not much else around.
