This is part of the Orient Express group now known as Belmond.Supposedly the best hotel in Yangon.Certainly expensive. We are staying as part of a cruise package which wasn't that much more than the cruise only price.I did check 12 months ago when we booked the cruise and Expedia and Asia Rooms both had it for our dates as $A700+.It is the fomer residence of the Governor of one of Burma's southern states.
So to the pictures-

A beautiful setting especially the main restaurant "Mandalay".Good value? Not really.
When we come back to Yangon we are staying at the Chatrium so should be an interesting comparison.
