Hook of Holland Ferry Cabin
From the ferry website-(The Stena Hollandica one of the two largest Superferries in the world and sister ship to the Stena Britannica, was launched on 16th May 2010, sails on the Harwich to Hook of Holland route and measures 240 metres in length and has a capacity of 230 cars, 300 freight vehicles and 1200 passengers)
For us the night shipping meant that the comfort class 2 berth outside cabin was our “hotel” for the night. The cabin had a big picture window (2X1 metre), single & king single bunks, big bathroom area & our own bar (2Xbeer, 2X white wine (half bottle), 2X red wine, 2x orange juice, 2x water, packet of chips, packet of nuts). The shower was excellent and had plenty of room. After a quick look around we joined the throngs having a late dinner- choice of restaurant style or cafeteria style pre-prepared. We enjoyed a meatball meal & a curry satay that did the job so we could get ready for sleep after attacking our bar. Being so big, the ferry was very smooth & we had no real sense of movement on the water. The next morning the wakeup intercom included a play of “Don’t Worry Be Happy”. A good pick up for us was the sale on board of train tickets for our onward trip to Amsterdam.
