We stayed here recently after rebooking just after the Japan earthquake. The rate had dropped from Y32000 to Y8500 overnight.
We were upgraded to the executive floor. The king bed rooms are small and overlook the harbour. The twin bedded rooms are much larger and overlook Kobe.It was comfortable enough and for the rate was great value.
Service was excellent.Everyday we were left an amenities kit-similiar to QF J kit.Mrsdrron was also left a starter selection of Japanese make up.
Lounge was large-
with views of Kobe-
However it was also very unusual in that they had a decent selection of hot and cold snacks out during the day but when Happy hour started at 1700 they were removed. The wine was basically undrinkable so we amused ourselves making up various coughtails.
The hotel is situated on Rokko Island.A reclaimed Island where the first buildings were opened 20 years ago.It is in a bad way with most shops and restaurants closed. But there is a 100 yen shop right next door to the sheraton. There are busses to Sanomiya and Shin Kobe stations and an automatic train -the Rokko liner to Sumiyoshi JR station. The busses leave from the Sheraton .There is a walkway to the Rokko Liner. So the position is not ideal but for the price was fine. The Crowne Plaza is right next to Shin Kobe station but was 5 times the cost.
The view from our room to Kobe airport-
If back in Kobe I would think of it again but price would be the major determinant.
