Another needed stay.Central Springfield is dead.Exacerbated by being a very hot day-high 90sF.Also only a few days before a tornado had gone through-extremely unusual for this neck of the woods.The hotel is an old triangular shape with the internal atrium.The check in staff and at the lounge in the evening were very good.Usual deep fried US canapes plus veggies with dip.As we had had a big lunch this was fine.Breakfast the next morning was a different story.Young lass as an attendant who couldn't give a fig.Nothing refilled.Breakfast finished at 0900.At that time mrsdrron was waiting in the lobby and said that at exactly 0900 the attendant walked out the front door.
A suit who I presume was the GM poked his head inside the lounge at brekkie-said how's the stay.but was gone before we could open our mouths.If I was in these parts again i would not stay in the CBD so this place would not figure in a future itinerary.

Heres my 2 cents worth = I WOULD NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN. It is a very old hotel, waaaaaaaay past refurb time. The bathroom the exhaust fan is ON 24/7 - so it is noisy all the time - you need to keep the bathroom door shut so you can hear the TV. Also the lighting in the bathroom is non existent. You can not put on make up as it is too dark to see in the mirror !!! men might have problems shaving.
Parking was also a nightmare - had to park in the annex as the car park was full during the day because of office workers from adjacent office buildings - so checking before 5 -shows a car park FULL sign !
And we were on a starwood preferred floor.

And given it's ranked on Tripadvisor 2nd out of 9 hotels in Springfield ... I think it would be best to skip the entire city in the near forseeable future :shock:
