Waldmeister Hof-Apartment 3 -Dobbiaco/Toblach-excellent access to the Dolomites

What a great apartment. Pretty new with a fantastic layout, 53sq metres of space, heaps of windows & a balcony looking over a magnificent farming valley with a backdrop of Dolomite peaks just failing to meet 3,000 metres. The bathroom was supremely comfortable (plenty of space in the shower, floor heating if required), good bedding but a hard bed, sat tv, bench kitchen with all the gear including a dishwasher. Our stick internet was working fine.

Our welcome is highlighted by a home baked strudel, bottle of local red (very nice) & a substantial jar of local region honey. We are up the hill from Dobbiaco, in Aufkirchen/ Santa Maria, about a 20 minute walk to town. This is a limitation with us relying on foot & the irregular bus BUT the payoffs are the magnificent views & the solitude-not to mention there is a pub & restaurant about 100 metres away. Also on our last full day we find a home baked apricot strudel waiting for us! During our stay in Dobbiaco it was interesting to note that some people staying right in town commented that the traffic noise from the main road was a downside for them.
