We had booked the cheapest king room at Y24000.On arrival the woman at checkin greeted us warmly and suggested we switch to a twin room as the view was much better. We took her suggestion and were glad we did. This view is so worth it-

We were upgraded to room 1011 on the Executive floor. But that was not all.Because we had switched to a twin room our rate was decreased to Y18500.Amazed.The room is small, especially the bathroom.

The bedroom was of big enough though-

The executive lounge was only open until 6pm but there was happy hour in the bar downstairs from 1730 for 2 hours.limited selection of free drinks, the white wine was Wolf Blass. Each person got a plate of appetisers-

Breakfast could be taken in the lounge or the restaurant-we chose the restaurant. The selection was not too bad.
There is the free shuttle to Nagoya station. You have to get there early as the locals use it as free transport.
The staff were all friendly and very helpful.
We would and will stay here again.

Heres my 2 cents worth - I loved Nagoya. The Westin was very good. That view was spectacular, I didnt even mind sleeping in single beds ! There is a lot to do in Nagoya so we will be back and would definitely stay here again. The free shuttle bus to the station is very handy.

Looks very interesting! Would love to visit Nagoya, and that view is insane.

Did they at least have the Westin 'Heavenly' Shower?

No heavenly shower !

The shower is over the bath, and it is one that can be hand held or fixed. The japanese way of having a bath is to have a "rinse" with the hand held shower after a soak in the bath - I quite like it. The bathroom is incredibly small - but I am afraid without a major refurb thats the way it will stay. I would rather that they get rid of the silly chaise longue in the bedroom as it takes up way to much room - just replace it with an arm chair.

The bathroom looks quite similar to the ones at the Sheraton Sapporo.
