Best J Seats - A380 & A330-300

Hi all,

Just curious as to everyone's thoughts as to the best seats for a couple travelling together in business class?

Bris-KUL departs 11:20pm (A330-300)

KUL-London departs 10:35am (A380) :)

As an aside, can anyone confirm we will have access to the Qantas Int Business Lounge in Brisbane?

Can't answer the seat question, but yes, you will get lounge access in BNE and KUL.
 
Having flown both aircraft types from SYD-KUL-CDG these are my thoughts.

On the A333 I'd go for 1A/C or 1H/K. These are bulkhead seats with extra legroom. The IFE screen is mounted on the bulkhead wall and not in your armrest, so you don't have to stow it away for takeoff and landing. These seats however are bassinet seats so be prepared to be moved if there are passengers that require them. The rest of the seats are pretty standard.

On the A380 I'd avoid rows 6, 8, 9 and 17 as these may be more prone to disturbances from the galley/toilets/economy class section. The rest of the seats are more or less the same, though I would try to be seated in the first J cabin as it's a smaller cabin so feels more intimate and also is further away from the engines (not that the A380 isn't a quiet aircraft already).

As the J cabin is configured 2-2-2 on both aircraft if having direct aisle access for the both of you is important then obviously you should go for the centre pair of seats.

As a J passenger you get access to the OW J lounges at BNE, KUL and LHR.

Not talking about arrivals access. I'm assuming the OP is making a round trip and if so on departure from LHR would have the relevant lounge access.
