chicka and I shall be in ADL from 2nd to 5th December and we thought we may as well do a [-]dinner[/-] lunch with any AFF members there. As we're only visiting, we'll leave the venue choice to those who know ADL best. However, we were thinking Saturday 3rd December makes the most sense for us as we're getting in at 19:15 on Friday, perhaps a little late for dinner that night!

Changed to a lunch at Hahndorf on the 3rd. Not sure which venue, but we plan to be up there.

Would love to have joined you, but have friends arriving on the 2nd and heading up the river for the weekend. I will get to one of these again one day soon!!! ;)

At this rate it may only be chicka and I anyway... might have to reschedule :p

Any tips on anything you think is worthwhile mentioning are welcome. We were probably just going to catch a local bus up there, have a wander, some lunch and then head back to the city, unless there's something we should be looking out for in particular?

Should have come to Hobart, It is as boring as Adelaide but at least you could have had dinner with me (and saved me a trip to OOL to collect my bag):mrgreen:

You might even jag a Double-decker bus !! (If you haven't a Metrocard, I believe you can buy them at the airport stop. Fares are $2 cheaper on it. Also half-price fares on Sunday. It's a train trip to Belair, and 300-400 metres to the national park and this lil gem Sheoak Cafe | Creators of Flavoursome Cuisine & Purveyors of Fine Coffee

Adelaide Hills - Historic Hahndorf's Main Street
dessert at German Cake Shop - Hahndorf, Adelaide Hills, South Australia

discoer hidden secrets at Hahndorf est. 1839 - Old. New. Endless. - Adelaide Hills, South Australia. 0n a walking tour

sorry im unlikely to be in Adel that weekend as Sydney is on the radar for work and staying over the weekend ...

Unfortunately I'm going to have to pull the plug.
+1 has her work Christmas do on the 3rd, somehow I thought it was the 10th which is our residents Christmas get together.

I wonder how many other suburbs have a residents get together?

It was looking like it wasn't going to come together anyway.

I'll change tacts and suggest that if anyone wants to join us for lunch on Saturday 3rd at Hanhdorf, we'll see you there!

December seems to be a difficult time for many with work Christmas functions etc.
I've missed out on every BAM trip for this very reason.

Hopefully something can be put together during a less busy time of year.

Indeed it is. For once my December is completely open.

I'm sure I'll catch up with everyone again, and I am very much looking forward to another wine tour if one pops up as I've done so few of them.
