It's been quite a while since I've hosted a BBQ, so think it's about time I do another one, and invite my extended AFF family to come along. I'm situated on the Gold Coast, within the Royal Pines Resort complex that includes 27 holes, of which 18 are used for both the APGA Championship and ALPGA Masters in December and February (the latter of which is coming up soon - at time of writing - and members are welcome to come round for a drink on those days too).
I have chosen Saturday the 2nd May to take advantage of recent sales, it's outside of school holidays and misses the ANZAC Day weekend, where travel isn't likely to be good value. If it's a particularly good day the pool might be good for a refreshing swim, and golf will be available too if there is interest? I'd be planning to put on mostly chicken and sausages, with salad of course. But depending on the price, could add some steak. I can cater to vegetarians too. Thankfully I have a rather extensive cellar and just returned from the McLaren Vale with some goodies.
A start time hasn't been sorted yet, but is probably dependant on whether or not you want to play golf
Hope to see you here!

For those attending, I live at Royal Pines Resort on Ross St, in the suburb of Ashmore/Benowa. This is a short taxi ride from the nearest train station, Nerang.
When entering the resort, you need to get yourself to the Eastern side of the complex (the side with the hotel). This is achieved via an overpass if travelling from the South/train. At the roundabout on the East you want to take the exit towards the "East Residences", which will take you to a security gatehouse. I doubt very much the guards will know my 'handle' – samh004 – but seeing as some don't even know my name, all you need to quote to them is "2111 South Shields". I'll give them some warning I'm having a BBQ in any case. After the gatehouse, "South Shields" is the second right, and "2111" similar.
On the following image, blue roads are the ones from Ross St towards the gatehouse. Green takes you to the golf course. Red takes you to the hotel.
If you have any dramas, you can send me a PM with your mobile and I'll get in touch quickly!
