Following the last thread, there’s been a tie that now needs to be broken for the dates:

  1. 19 - 21 October
  2. 26 - 28 October
  3. 2 - 4 November

I think the only major event that coincides with those dates is the Armor All Gold Coast 600 on 19 - 21 October, which might tie up hotels around Surfers Paradise. It could be a side draw, but getting around will be annoying too.

And as has been pointed out, the Melbourne Cup carnival clashes with the 2 - 4 November dates, despite the actual race being on 6 November.

You’ll only get 1 vote in this poll, and it’ll be open for [-]a week[/-] 8 days.

Melbourne Cup carnival clashes with Nov dates which impacts those returning to MEL.

Do people usually bring their partners along to these events ?

Ugh. Lol. Those were the dates I picked, but I’m up for any I suppose. Not going anywhere :p
We had the Melbourne Cup discussion months ago, Sam - but since you aren't into the ponys or look forward to office parties for Melbourne Cup, you are totally forgiven!
I am a maybe for the 26th-28th. Will most likely do a dinner and the BBQ if I can make it.

26-28 has my vote.

As markis10 mentioned, the Melbourne cup weekend can be a pain to get in and out of MEL, for attendees flying up. The flip side is that MEL attendees can make a 4-day long-weekend of it.
