BNE Drinks Night - Wednesday 27 March

It's been a while since the BNE locals (and visitors) had a drinks night, so I thought instead of waiting around, I'd organise one myself. In fact, the last such night was at Christmas, when about 18 turned up for a fun night in the city.


[-]As this will be the first such night for 2013, I think it's only fair we go back to where it's generally been held, The Metro Hotel Tower Mill. It's an easy location to get to for most, and might give me some exercise walking up the hill, or running back down it to catch the train![/-]


Location change - Following lunch in the city the other day, the location has changed to Mick O'Malley's Irish Pub, located underneath the Hilton in the city, with access from Queen Street Mall. The food on offer was generous, well priced and the atmosphere pretty good too.

I'm considering moving the drinks to Mick O'Malley's Irish Pub, at 209 Queen Street. I had pre-St Paddy's drinks there this afternoon and the food was pretty decent!

Can't you stopover on the way to Tokyo?
You are aware we have JQ flights direct OOL/NRT :mrgreen: even with some sort of premium class..

Had a quick look there today.. good location & appears quite nice, welcoming staff with a varied menu & plenty of treats on tap - Kilkenny, Guinness, Stella, Kirin etc..:mrgreen:
See how the numbers go & if need be, we can reserve a table or booth.

Not this time I'm afraid. Flying CX J to HKG, then connecting (via the long way ).


As a side note, it looks like JQ may be sold out to Tokyo on these days (or thereabouts).
