The stations were: Lager, Wheat, Pale Ale, Golden Ale, Amber Ale, IPA, Dark (Stout) & Other Styles. In total, 59 beers... Which truth be told is 1 beer short of the promised "over 60 beers".

As the Champagne event was late October, and the Beer event late January, I would expect a similar event to be held late April, but not sure if it will be Wine or Cider at this stage :p

It's certainly good value though, the pours weren't skimpy...

Did you manage all 59?

good going if you did 59 beers in one night.

Even if they where taste samples.

You tried every beer?

How else are you to decide what tastes good and what doesn't (for a future purchase)... and by the time you've done all 59 you really need to repeat the process because by then your taste buds have changed and that is an important consideration too :p

Food provided was good again, lots of canapés going around, as well as mountains of cheese and fruit.

What was the tasting size? 50mL or less?

It varied to be honest, all pours were from bottles/cans but some staff would go the whole nine yards and wash your glass out, then hold it themselves and pour the right portion in, while others would be generous with their pours. You were also given a free Spiegelau glass to take home (and be used for the tastes), so I just poured some water in and measured what I thought was about where they filled to and they could have been a little over 50mL... thus I spent $20 and drank at minimum 2.95L of beer! Pretty good value I say :p

About 8 stubbies. Great value. Unfortunately I had short week coming back from Thailand and left early today.

I will try to get to next beer tasting in Brisbane.

While I have no knowledge of Dan's plans, if the Champagne and now Beer night is anything to go by, the next event will be for the end of April, but I'm unsure what will be on the menu. I'm doubtful it'll be beer again. You might be waiting a year to see this event come back around.
