I find myself in ADL in a couple of weeks.

Would anyone care for dinner or drinks Thursday night?

I am thinking of pub fare somewhere close to the HH.

Dang, I was hoping to make it to my first AFF meet, but I have to work late that night! :(

The one weekend I'm going to MEL and you leave !! :p

Who said anything about the weekend? ;) I will be back Friday arvo. How does Saturday night suit?

Don't worry, AFFers are known to 'work' late as well. Keep an eye on the thread to see where we end up, and you might be able to join us.

Yes I can do this. Will want to hear about recent travels :)

Always a pleasure to share.

Subscribing! Will attend if I'm home based on 18th.

Sorry Steady, I won't be around this week.

I am thinking of pub fare somewhere close to the HH.

I thought HH was the Hilton. Neither of those are particularly close?? (Doesn't worry me either way).

Haven't eaten at either in the last 12 months but on visits before that, the food at the Rob Roy was ok and the food at Coopers Ale House was disappointing.

I've now got to be at a 5.30 meeting on North Terrace but will be able to get away around 6.30ish.

count me in
let me know where and when
Great. The discussion continues about the locale ...

HH is still the Hilton. ;)

They looked within reasonable walking distance, but would be happy with something closer. It doesn't look like my suggestions are much chop.

Other thoughts?

Would somewhere on Peel St be out of the question? Easily reached by free tram from HH :p. There's a place there that does burgers, "Bread and Bone Wood Grill". Maybe we could meet at Udaberri for a drink first at 6.30? (Happy to meet elsewhere, that's the only bar that springs to mind that's all).

Otherwise I'm happy to go to Rob Roy as their Cranach dessert is amazing (assuming they still serve it), but it's a good 20-25 minute walk from my meeting, or 15 mins if I get the tram down KW St first.
