JQ35 Farewell Lunch [April 7: Easter Saturday]

As discussed in this thread, http://www.australianfrequentflyer....flyer-program/no-more-jq35-syd-mel-36571.html it appears JQ35 is changing times making F Lounge runs not as practical.

Thinking about this, I believe it would only be appropriate to farewell JQ35 in style, of course, the only way to do this is an F Lunge Run!

From what I can see, officially the last JQ35 flight is 17th March, departing 1400 arriving 1530, however there seems to be a one off JQ35 flight running on Apr 7, departing 1530.

What does everybody think? I don't think the Apr 7th option will fit in with many people's easter plans.

Am home for 7/04, alas away for 17/03. The later departure on the 7th allows for more lounging..

Grand Prix is on 18/03, so I imagine fares will go up quickly around that time

Both dates I’ll have a parent over… but I’m thinking I might be able to get my dad interested in such an event, and to join me on the 7th! We’ll see.

I like your thinking, I'll try and book mine in the next day or two once we've sorted the plans out.

Just spent an hour on the phone with jetstar and can't book return price match on the same booking. Tiger won't let me book the return as the interval between flights is too short. 2 hours is too short!! Will have to do it in 2 transactions and pay cash.

Sounds like a good idea, Breakfast in the MEL lounge, lunch in the SYD Lounge.

I like the idea, but, I will get back from DFW at the end of March, and then the 7th is only a few weeks before the AKL run for lunch! So I wont be suffering from any urges to do an F lounge run!

According to my schedule I am in Asia for the March date, but that is subject to change with GFC 2.0 ("We have no money, you're all losing your jobs, etc").

The April date is a few days after my [Censored]th Birthday, so that could be fun.

Maybe some QLD people might be interested, especially as there is usually a charity flight on the day before and Mystery flights all weekend.
