TomVexille and I are heading to London for dinner on June 25 next year, before flying home on QF10 (in F) the following day.

We're catching up with a friend of mine for dinner, but throwing the invite out to anyone else who might be around. She took one look at my flight map for our US trip and declared "status run" so I reckon she will enjoy meeting anyone who joins us.

No idea on location yet but I'm sure we will come up with something before then....

If I head to London again next year, I'll be sure to time it around then so that... you can guest me into the F lounge!

Well I'm in London in May and there will also be an event then. Dates to be firmed up later. Flights have been booked but itinerary is still being finalised.

Yep, put me down for this one.

Be sure to PM me - I don't really look in the Meetings sub-forum anymore, so will probably miss it otherwise!

If you're amenable to a lunch BBQ, I may be having one at my place that day... (your friend would be welcome too, unless you want to do both lunch & dinner!)

If not, I'll still join you all later just won't be sure what time.

Generous offer but unfortunately we don't land until 2:20pm

She suggested lunch as well :D
But as TV said, won't get there in time. And I need to hit up Liberty for some fabric :)

Ok...... a few suggestions:
Italian: https://www.tripadvisor.in/Restaurant_Review-g186338-d1937881-Reviews-O_Sole_Mio-London_England.html - good range, very friendly staff, popular place and easily accessible (a few tube stops from where you guys are) and a good selection of wine
Italian (more specifically, pizza): https://www.francomanca.co.uk/restaurants/southkensington/ - a bit of an institution in London, have a few places around the place now (not sure if Brixton was the first one?); anyway, good food, really cheap but may be a bit of a wait to get in (first come first served)
Gastro pub: The Hereford Arms - Food & Drink at The Hereford Arms Pub & Restaurant, South Kensington - random place I found, reviews seem pretty good, decent range of food and some cask ales etc. on tap

While I love Franco Manca, they wouldn't be able to handle our number on a Saturday night.

O'sole mio looks like a good option.

Have eaten before at the Hereford and it was good. Usual pub comfort food really, but is influenced too much by Kensington price wise for food and drink prices.

I'll have a think as well for some nearby options.

Some good options.
Not sure if my friend is planning to bring her 2yo or not so something to keep in mind.

This sounds good. I may actually end up in London around this time. Will let you know closer to the date.
