Hi all

I propose we have a get together to say goodbye to 2010 on Saturday December 18 at the Locanda Italian Steakhouse at Rydges Hotel Exhibition Street @ 8-830pm

Doing the same as previously, buy drinks direct at the bar while using my Platinum card and get 50% off drinks, then we will get 50% off meals for 12, and split the difference for anyone else - I think last time it was ~35% off food.

I personally think a set menu is the go with a vego option for those who don't partake in eating meat, however, its up to the attendees to decide

Here is the restaurant menu in a .pdf

Oops, will miss this by a day. We head off on our Circle Asia the day before.

Oh my... not sure if I'll make the gathering, but I think I will have to take a Friday afternoon lunch at that restaurant just so I can try

I have had the Magic Mushies twice now - sensational

As I’m flying through MEL on the 20th and 24th and will have a lot on around the 18th, I’ll have to give this a miss too.

It is on a day when JQ35 is operating, and I have to miss the CBR dinner the week before...

Very tempting :)

Oh how I wish I lived in a city with frequent International-Domestic flights :p

Sounds like you’ll have a really good time :D

I think you have talked me into it in both directions. I will probably end up booking *Class though, and book CBR-SYD separately :)

So confirmed for dinner, and very probable for flights :)

Same here. I am flying through MEL on 26 December.

I wouldn't call the Domestic flights from International frequent but if you want to live in a real city them move to Sydney away from that disorganised chaotic mess in SE Qld. :p

I spoke too soon - I'm going to have to pull out.

Our Christmas party has been moved to the 18th now (it turns out that not everything was booked before announcing the date previously), and it would be bad form for me not to go.

On a positive note, I can now attend the Canberra dinner :)

Sorry for that. Next time :)

I think I will be on a strange Spanish-speaking plane to Bogota around that time, so sadly I will be a scratching.

Put me down for a maybe.. Will need to check on work movements!

Any plane that speaks is strange.

LOL, clearly you haven't been watching enough cartoons :p

But yes, point taken... "a Spanish speaking cabin crew"

We're possibles; there are some other things happening that have not been confirmed that day or the next.
