I received an email for the forthcoming Sips and Sliders evening.

There are events in 5 cities:

SYD 15 April
MEL 16 April
ADL 21 April
BNE 23 April
PER 28 April

I have booked a ticket to the MEL event. Would anyone care to join me?

We've booked (just don't tell my brother we won't be seeing him on his birthday )

Leave work at 4:30 pop down to MEL, event, back to SYD for the flight to CDG the next arvo. *plays thinking music

Was considering it in BNE until I saw the dinner at the Centre of Service Excellence in SYD... and now don't know what to book.

6pm?

Might be a bit early for me on a Thursday. I usually work until at least 9pm. Might catch a few of you for a drink afterwards if I am in town :p

On our way in. Pretty inconvenient location for those that don't work/live in the city/Collingwood though

Good grief, what a joke.

After waiting two hours for the 'vegetarian' food to come out, I asked after it. I got two small potato patties. I had to ask for the small buns to make them into sliders, and got one and a half. (Half of one fell onto the floor as it was offered to me, with no effort to replace it).

Whilst there seemed to be lots of trays of the meaty options, there seemed a very lackadaisical approach to making sure they were offered around the room, with many missing out, and half full trays going back into the kitchen.

Fail, epiQure.

And not even much of the meaty offerings. For $75 I'd have liked more than four sliders... While I enjoyed the wines on offer it did come across as though I had paid to be advertised to. For the $150 we paid to be there we could have enjoyed a decent meal and wine elsewhere.

Initially disappointed to miss the BNE event next week due to another engagement on the day but after reading the reports here it may be for the best.
