I'm fairly sure I am able to make it, if only for a quick dinner. Thanks for organising it.

I'll be there too.

I'm not very familiar with the QVB. But, I see the address is LG - does that mean lower ground? Wherever it is there a landmark?

Yes lower ground level at the Town Hall station end, well actually more in the middle if I look at the qvb map not Google's effort

It's at the Market St end, look out for the T2 tea shop, it's next to it in the corner (don't take the path that would take you to Pitt St).

Dinner has been booked at 7pm tonight for 7 people under the name of Kevin...see you then!

Slightly too late notice for me - have made other plans :(

Sorry, I'm bronze/tin for this as I have to stay home to look after The Future - wife is attending work Xmas do. Next year!

I see that this event evolved from the trivia thread for SYD. I also see that there was a trivia event that I said I would go to, but in the end, didn't. Apologies, I forgot to put it in my diary!

I would like to suggest that SYD has a "Christmas in July" dinner, so after the end of the financial year., which might make it easier for some to make it. I've been to three functions upstairs at this place in the last six weeks, purely by chance, and I highly recommend it. I'm happy to organise the event - what do you think? It's a gourmet pub in Paddo, not far from the Dudley.

Maybe we could try a Sunday night, around 6pm. What do you think? Set course, organise a drinks package, but with everyone paying in advance.

Thanks everyone for coming along to dinner tonight...it was a great night and I enjoyed meeting old and new faces :)....for those interested, housekeeping have found my jacket which I left behind in Abu Dhabi last week....now to get it back!!

Nice idea wanderer. I may be away being an AFFer and all. The entries at Four in Hand are interesting:

Jaffle |Liver | Onion | 15Crispy Duck Head | Pickled Cucumber | 10

The Four in Hand is a great restaurant. Have been several times, it is close to where my son lives, if there is enough people think about having the whole roast suckling pig - it is superb !!

Good dinner. Thanks everyone for the company. Nice pictures of EY F!

A more regular Sydney event is a good idea. Perhaps even trivia again (based on discussion)

Apologies for my memory in not getting the originator of trivia correct.

As pre last night my trivia question to AFF: Name the last 3 people to be both President and Vice President of the USA?

Great idea.

Given my half-life, other organisers are a good idea.

Someone in front of me at security in SYD today left behind a Zegna suit bag, was that you kpc? ;)

Seriously though, it was good to meet you all and look forawrd to catching up during our travels.
