[FONT=&amp]I left a Hero 4 Black GoPro in the seat back pocket in front of me. I flew QF927 from Cairns to Sydney, arriving at 7:53 pm on Monday, 11 January 2016. I sat in exit row seat 13F filming the sky throughout parts of the flight, including the decent into Sydney, but forgot to pull it out of the seat back upon deplaning. I also filmed Cairns Harbour and surrounding scenery as we returned from 7 days of diving the Reef.

Again, the lost items included Hero 4 Black GoPro camera, 64 GB SD card, and attached scuba accessories (handle and coil clips to attach to BCD). I even had it attached to my soft sunglasses case, also left behind. I live in the United States and this camera was a gift for my lifelong dream of visiting Australia.

I am staying at the Four Seasons in Sydney until Friday, 15 January 2016. I discovered it was missing and immediately contacted the concierge, who agreed to contact Qantas about it, yet I've heard nothing back from anyone. Does anyone know how to track down a lost item?

Is it possible there was a decent enough human being out there who would have turned it in or be trying to find me to return it?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I'll even offer a cash reward for its return.

UPDATE:
I am reaching out to Qantas myself as well... I was hoping someone might know of some other methods beyond the standard customer service number, or hoping that someone who reads this forum might have the camera and want to return it. Thanks again!

I would try contacting Qantas yourself and cut out the middle man.

Hi rdeka4

Sorry about the circumstances that being you to AFF. I've sent a private message to Red Roo, the Qantas company rep here, alerting them to your post (as a new member I don't think you can PM). But as opusman suggests, contact Qantas directly as well.

Fingers crossed. :)

Hopefully no one else sees the information posted in this thread and calls them first :)

For the non-believers...QF isn't all bad

A few people to thank here and especially the person who handed over the lost items instead of keeping them.
And it all came together within a few hours!

Red Roo,

I don't know who you are or how you found it, but that was my GoPro with all accessories! I took the train to the airport and picked it up today. I owe you a debt, as well as Geoff K. for finding it during cleaning and turning it in. Qantas has treated me very well through my entire journey and I'm happy to praise them once more.

And thank you to the Qantas community for helping me. I can't believe this was resolved in only a couple of hours. You are the best!! I'm in Sydney until Friday if any of you would like drinks on me! :)

Thank you all!

Rick

Yikes! You don't know us very well, do you? :) We are "frequent flyers" and almost any of us can be in Sydney before Friday for a free drink!

But great to see a good result.

LOL, understood, but perhaps you underestimate my gratefulness. Plus, I finished all my bucket list items, so there's nothing left for me to do for the next few days but drink and party while still trying not to embarrass my home country.

Please don't remind me. I can't believe so many people are still backing him. I'm ashamed of my country for that idiocy.
