Thinking of taking the good woman to Honolulu on Jetstar Dec 22 for a week going economy class, have 235,000 QFF points, could I use these to upgrade to Jetstar Starclass?, if so do I enough points?.

Jetstar don't let you use QFF points with them for an upgrade. Your best bet is to hope for an On Departure Upgrade (ODU) for a few hundred dollars, or just buy the *class ticket outright.

On the topic of using your QFF points, even if Jetstar offered an upgrade via points, they would charge business cabin points - *class is premium economy at best so a real waste of points IMHO. To illustrate my point, 280,000 QFF points will get you a zone 10 (>35,000 miles) round the world economy class fare for two adults!

I agree. Even if you COULD use points to upgrade, I wouldn't waste the points required for a sub-business class product at business class points levels! Buy yourself extra leg room seating for AU$30 per pax, purchase some delicious things PRIOR boarding, and save those points for a rainy day!

That being said if you were flying QF J, it's on par (or even not as good as noted by Dave Noble) with JQ *class. So if you were flying QF, still no point.

Hi

We are on that same flight on 22nd December in economy too. I tried to upgrade but you are not allowed to use your qantas points to upgrade on Jetstar on a paid fare.

We paid an extra $120.00 return each for exit rows instead.
