Hey all

I have started a footy tipping comp - it's FREE and there will be a prize at the end (I have yet to find a prize or a kind company to donate, but I am sure it will happen!) - I hope to see lots of merry tipsters!

To reiterate, this a Free non profit event!

'Australian Frequent Flyer' Join our AFL 2010 Tipping Competition now:

1.Go to www.OzTips.com
2.Click the 'REGISTER' button on the homepage and set-up a Login (if you don't already have one with OzTips).
3.Once you have successfully registered a Username and Password, click the 'JOIN A COMP' button.
4.You will be asked to enter an OzTips Comp Number and Password.

5.That's it!

Tipping Format: Straight Tipping
This is straight pick the winner Tipping.
Knockout Comp
Tip cut-off time for your Comp is 5-minutes before the first match of the Week.
Correct Tip Incorrect Tip Match Drawn (but not Tipped)
Tip a Draw
Regular Season: 2 0 0 1
Finals: 4 0

RULES
All Correct Bonus: 10 Bonus Points to be added if a Tipster correctly Tips all matches in a Week. (Note: Bonus Points only apply to Regular Season matches and NOT to Finals or representative matches.)
Hide Ladder After Week: Don't Hide Hides the Tipping Comp's Ladder after the selected Week. The Comp Manager must select "Don't Hide" to show the Ladder again.
Non-Submission: 0 Points Calculation of Points for Tipsters who fail to submit their Tips by the Week's Tip cut-off time. eg. "Lowest" and an Adjustment of "-1", will give the Tipster the lowest Score in your Comp for the missed Tipping Week, minus 1 Point.
Adjustment: 0
Late Start: 0 Points Allocation of Points for Tipsters who start later than Week 1. eg. "Average" and an Adjustment of "2", will give the new Tipster the average of your Comp Tipster's current total Scores (rounded down to the nearest point), plus 2 Points.
Adjustment: 0
Top Tipster: -

Prize Information: Winning prize to be decided - thougt up - stolen, begged or borrowed - TBA!

View Closed Tips: Yes Tipsters can see what everyone has Tipped after a Week has Closed.

View Names: No Tipsters' Firstname/Lastname appears as a hover over their Tipping Name.

I wont be opening one, but it is easy enough to do, just a bit of admin each week and finding a prize - so go for it if you don't want to to the AFL one

Thanks munitalP! Was a member of of an Oztips last year but that tipping contest didn't kickoff again. So this is great timing!

Looking forward to having a better year at tipping that the Bloods will have. Last year had a side bet that Swans (AFL) & Sharks (NRL) would both finish out of the top 8. Sadly I was right, feel like I might win that bet again....

New status year starts on May 1st, might have to rack up some SC's watching the Swans play

Unlikely; you need to enter your registering email address in the case of forgotten username/password.

I last used tipped with Oztips in 2008 - been getting weekly tipping reminders during the seasons since even though I had not re-registered. (Also NRL)

When I signed up I disabled all emails, so I hope after the season I don’t get cough from them

Just as well I used a spare email.
