Progress at our new place; paddock has been replaced with dirt and earth moving equipment.
That is so exciting. It's a good feeling to have something actually happening......

That soil looks great! Are either of you gardeners? A vege patch to produce fresh produce for all of those AFF dinners ...... (or should that be, diners? )
Most definitely! I cannot wait to get my fruit trees in and get my veggie patch going. Leaving my established "orchard" was very difficult and it'll be a few years before I'm eating homegrown apricots and figs again.
And you can plan exactly what you want. Maybe you could get some going now in big tubs ready for planting when you can?
I've got a few things going already. I dug up my lovely Crepe Myrtle so its ready for our new front yard, and my Daphne plant. Definitely will think about fruit trees in a few months, they'll have a year to get bigger. I did try to take cuttings of our exisiting fruit trees but didnt have much luck.
When you start to replant make sure you mark where the plant was facing north so you can put it facing the same aspect in your new home.
Excellent! Can you share your builders name, did you go with a large builder co?
Interesting...does it make a difference?
Yes. They get used to the sun 'beaming' on them in a certain direction and adapt to that. It's stressful moving them to a new home so this is one of things you can do to minimise that stress on them.
