Can't wait! Have you read the books? I am just through book 2. MasterP has read the lot. He needed some counselling when some prominent people were killed off - I dont know who - yet to be revealed in the coming series.

Hope it isn't Tyrion, Arya, John Snow or Daenerys.

All of the following is pure speculation by me, based solely on watching the game of thrones TV series. Not even having read a single book. But spoiler warning just in case.

John snow and daenerys are key elements to the story, IMO. Depending on who was john snow's mum. There are also 3 dragons that need riders. IMO arya and the cripple boy are 2 potential dragon riders. The only other key character that might not die is Robert cough son the blacksmith.

As for the deaths. The red wedding was pretty bad.

No haven't read the books. Yep a lot of good people get knocked off. The 4 you mentioned, I think may reach the end or get close to it.

It might be Jon Snow v Daenerys at the end. There is a lot of speculation who John Snow's real parents might be.

I watched Red Wedding late at night. MrP away and MasterP asleep. I wandered around the house for quite some hours after that.

I reckon Arya is more of a leader than the others.

SWMBO has just told me that my reasons for thinking Daenerys is a key character are not as strong as I thought. No further on that as its a real spoiler. SWMBO is fully into checking out these things on the Wiki of ice and fire.
 
Just watched some of the trailers for previous series and got half way through the Series 5 one. Will leave the rest for tomorrow
 
We are all just guessing so no spoilers revealed. And Martin has always killed off favourites throughout the series so that's not new either, and all of which have been shown on TV. So not sure why its been seen as a spoiler "thread".
 
So is this a GoT thread or TV series in general? I am always interested in recommendations for a good TV series.
