The Pinot Noir & Grenache Thread

Has anyone got their hands on the Tolpuddle 2017 pinot? I know the 2016 was a bit disappointing to some so I didn't buy any, but I'm seeing the 2017 at a few retailers now (with a bump in price this year I notice) with some very decent reviews coming with it (James Suckling gave it a 99)

Just found this thread, looks brilliant, thanks. I ordered some of the 2015 Tapanappa on VM, looking forward to trying it. The 2013 Foggy Hill was great.

Will look out for other good buys here. Recently bought the 2017 Giant Steps (JH97) for $27.39/bt delivered after the $25 welcome discount at My Wine Guy.

It's a solid wine. Pushing the $ boundaries when you can get cracking Burgundy from Gevrey Chambetin for the same coin!

Especially for those in Lorne at the moment for the Mountain to Surf and/or Pier to Pub, an even better buy at the Lorne Hotel bottle shop than the 2017 Felton Road Bannockburn is the 2016 By Farr RP Cote Vineyard for $80 ($60 with 25% off Entertainment Book) - price match at My Wine Guy with a $30 voucher to make it $59.95 delivered :)

With Cellar One sold out again, cheapest place for this is now My Wine Guy, where a bottle is $19.94 delivered using a $30 voucher :)

If this now fully booked event was too much, and you also missed a place at Dan Murphy's Cellar's 2015 burgundy tasting, then there might still be a spot available at Matthew Hansen's $130 Fine Wine Appreciation 2017 Tasmanian Horizontal on 7pm Monday 21st January at Dench, featuring:
  • Tolpuddle
  • Home Hill Kelly’s Reserve
  • Pooley Cooinda Single Vineyard
  • Chatto
  • Dr Edge
  • Bay of Fires

Besides the Timo Mayer 2018 pre-release and Burgundy classes in Melbourne...

If you missed Seville Estate Old Vine Reserve 2017 (JH99) before it more than doubled in price, then Randall's has the standard/regular 2017 (JH97) for $33

If we were adding there would be a few extra's I'd like.

Sailor Seeks Horse, Two Tonne: Dog & Wolf, Pooley: Butchers Hill, Freycinet

How about Stefano Lubiana and Mewstone?

Have you had all the wines mentioned? Favourites?

I haven't tried/bought Chatto or Mewstone yet, but have the others, except Dr Edge and Two Tonne, which are still in the cellar waiting to be opened
