EK was always priced out of reach. And EY was MIA. At least they haven’t touched SQ!

In light of other recent FFP devaluations, I’ll take this one any day.

Was concerned this might impact SQ, TK but safe for the moment. Do wonder though if it is a matter of time before more programs move towards dynamic pricing (please no...).

Wonder if EK J/F rewards might come down based on the sample they provided for North America (I do realise the likelihood of this is about 2%). But we can hope right?

We can hope. Let's just hope that this is the devaluation for this year, or at least until summer booking season is over. I like that they gave a little notice too.

When I looked last year for an EK redemption on aeroplan, I found literally 0 seats on J or F. Same routes same dates on QF had at least some seats available, with the expectedly high surcharges.

As much as I hate devaluations, to an extent, there is no point in having 1 million points if there is 0 availability (on EK). The fact that this only affects a few select airlines makes it not that bad in my eyes, although I'm sure some will disagree.
