Short of cash and want to be platinum, knock the 1200 points off all in the one flight for about $1400,
but don't forget to have four joeys in your pouch, before you check the mailbox every day.

As per usual here are the cryptic clues,
take the prickly fruit to the saint of animals,
who nearly hits the first president,
then see not quite all of Sally for just an hour,
and mirror what she speaks.
and drop the prickly fruit off, just before Julius leaves us.

you have enough flights for a volleyball game.

Maybe this is a parody... also interesting to watch the bit below thread information to see how many people are hanging around this thread deciphering

yes, you can do this flight for 1400 dollars for 1200 points,
however on this discussion forum, there are enough clues for readers to work it out for themselves,
as in previous threads discussing this issue. It is called a status credit run, and it is not for the novice,
it is a lot of flights, airports, and lack of sleep.

If I'm counting aright there's seven clues. I think that I've got four of them so far. Thanks, kempvet ... great fun! ;)

by the way, there is a real sweet spot to the flight, get the dates and times a little wrong and it can be 1000 dollars more!

Again, it is not the type of flight for those who like their comfort, I am working on a shorter Gold version status run for my partner, a couple of the nights we can share the same hotel and transport, other than this, I will sleep at the airport, and we planned a small holiday at the destination, anyway, so it sort of softens a little what would be a tough flight.

Not all people can do this, if you are planning to be in the USA and try this flight, sure you may get the points, but I doubt that you would enjoy your stay in the states.

And possibly a probe where you would never ever want...

Although, I suppose the $1400 does not include placement.

I assume this is LOTFAP?

Edit: Oops, posters above answered my question without me asking!

Be nice if something like this existed in Europe :P

no probing uncomfortable spaces, not on this flight anyway, I especially designed this flight, so if it were to leave the USA, you come straight back, I would think, on the same plane. Yes I have seen a few of these flights, where you have to stay overnight in PTY or even worse CCS.

It took many days to find a flight that was fly in and out same hour almost if leaving the USA.

I would think that flights giving say $1.10 to $1.20 a SC are not worth it, if the flight design, places you in these places and having to organise transport and hotels, outside the USA. You might as well go LAS to SEA via LAX and return for $750 and 300 SCs a couple of times to at least make people gold.

Oh I do like a challenge.

I am very new to this and think I have figured out all of the clues. The only one I am not quite sure on is Sally as i have 2 options.
Are you able to tell me if all the places reside in the same country or can it be for a near by country?

Plug them into AA's website, and you'll know if you've got it right. :)

I hate these cryptics....

Prickly fruit I would have assumed to be HNL, but could be Mexico, though I doubt you'd have a routing start there.

San Francisco is next, Washington could be flying anywhere in the north east other than DCA, could also be a routing via SEA though I doubt it. So my assumption is a NYC transit.

Have no idea of Sally, and the final clue does tend to make me feel HNL is the start and end point.

12 segments.

maybe Sally is SLC so you just need to guess the "Lake City" which is a fairly busy American hub.

But I doubt that "lake city" is an end point..?? I may be wrong.

Also horrible in winter - but I will brave it in March :)

And besides - HNL-SFO-NYC-SLC-ORD isn't enough legs......

I've never been one for cryptic crosswords or the like, however I do like travelling/flying and drinking free drinks in lounges! So if anyone works it out and wants a drinking buddy then please count me in :D

I was hoping not to give any more clues as it is the 1200 Scs platinum flight.

and to be honest, the big guns who can solve these clues have not posted yet, so I

will wait a little while.

IAD is probably more likely than anywhere in NYC and then you have to return to HNL after ORD. Best of luck if you really want to fly this!
