Am I reading this correctly that you will now have to pay 11,500 pts to change a booking over the phone?? (3,500 change fee + 8,000 service fee) So for airlines like CX where they don't offer hardly any availability online changes will cost this much.

QF are just getting plain mean.

Yeah...this is how I read it. Pretty bad considering there are some things you just cant do online - let's hope they keep extending the waiver in those cases.

So does that mean that a family transfer will still be free after 1st December 2010, or will we have to pay after that date? I’m confused on this point, do I transfer now or not… :p
You won't have to pay if you do it on-line.

They wouldn't waive the booking fee last time I wanted to book a CX flight. I think you should only pay the fee for flights that are available to book online.

Just to rub it in last friday I was looking to book a YUP ANC-LGA.aa.com wouldn't let me book the option with least time elapsed so I booked the next best. The aussie site didn't show up any of the better options.Had to ring AA BNE to pay-asked about the better option.Changed easily and no change fee as it was something I couldn't do on line.
