With the change to MASAs etc which OW partner would be the best to credit to instead?

A lot of people suggest AA?

Note there is also a change on the partner earn in some cases, wait for the detail is my suggestion.

I've now given up on QF so will switch to AA for OW status and VA for domestic travel generally.

On the other hand I've got OWE for another year so might just jump ship to another alliance.

is AA fairly easy to burn with? What's the value for points on flights like?

I've recentlybooked NRT-LAX-ORD in F and ORD-MCO-NRT in J for 112.5K AA points. Great availability for dates low taxes and pretty low points cost. I'll have to start crediting rev flights to AA now!

Value as post 330 AA taxes are in the 10's of $$. No surcharges unless on BA flights. But only 330 days out, not 353 days as QF

I wonder why this link was not in the QF email

BAEC has Lifetime Gold, ?Finnair have lifetime status (not sure how useful that is here). Does AA have BIS lifetime status?

Just remember that AA also require 4 qualifying flights on AA or US each calender year to earn/maintain status

Note: Members must fly at least four segments on American Airlines, American Eagle, the American Connection carrier, US Airways, US Airways Express or US Airways Shuttle to qualify for Executive Platinum, Platinum or Gold status within the qualifying year. Qualifying miles do not include class-of-service bonus miles, other participant miles or any other AAdvantage bonus mileage. Miles purchased through buyAAmiles and giftAAmiles do not qualify for elite status.
