Checked my Post Office Box on the way home tonight and have received a letter from QF basically asking me to provide information about my intended bookings over the next 6 months.

I am not sure why?? I am 10 weeks into my new membership year and only require 230 SC's to requalify for WP. If they looked at my booked and paid for flights, they would see 3 F to Asia in the next 2 weeks, along with 2 F to Europe prior to February. I also have 2 J to AKL and some DOM as well.

Has anyone else had this type of enquiry regarding your future travel plans?

Reggie, I've never had that (I've only ever achieved the loft heights of Silver). But I have heard of others here on AFF who have been asked for this, but only when QF are considering comping status when they haven't requalified within a month or two of their year end.
This sounds like something that slipped through the cracks ...

An interesting way to respond would be to ask Qantas how they intend to look after you in the next 6 months.

Perhaps they think you may qualify for <insert secret level above platinum here>

bossreggie,

Maybe they are considering elevating you to the lofty heights of CL. ;)

It certainly seems unusual that they would ask for that information without giving any indication of what they were wanting it for.

BossReggie, I've been WP for 8 yrs (I think, I could be off by a year or 2), never been asked about my forward travel. QF has been very very good to me and my family over the years, so no issues here. If they did inquire, I'd tell them I dont know, except for family travel which we tend to plan in advance, with biz travel its down to client relations and that tends to come and go as the wind blows.

Cheers

I'm thinking that if bossreggie has not received his new NGCI card yet, they may be working out which expiry date to put on it! Rather than send a 2011 expiry, extend it now to 2012 and be done with it.

Re: Another 747 problem.

Well... I'm in the SYD F Lounge ATM and I can tell you it's pretty empty.... I was offered the earlier BA flight but I'm way happier on QF Metal.

Was sitting across from a QF Manager this afternoon up from MEL and was a little surprised with his attitude. I left the plane and he came down to the holding area where we wait for the bus to go to the Internationa terminal. I was paged and I was taken in a falcon!! (yuck) to the interntional terminal. I was apologised to and offered the earlier flight.

I am now waiting for my flight to BKK... Just want to get going!! I do note my boarding pass now clearly states "Chairmans Lounge". I guess that is a token "thank you" due to the delay in my flight?!?!

Awesome!!!

So, so cool.

And to think, all you need to do to attain it is fly the highest cabin available on every route, F or J. Now to get back to winning the lotto so I can join you!

I must say, I’d really love to see the insides of a Chairmans Lounge once in my life ;)

I suspect that might be permanent, especially after the QF contact. Try booking a NOQ fare next domestic trip for a laugh and see what the upgrade chance is.

In fact, I’ll fund that trip as long as I’m in your booking too, lets see what happens :D

A little confused here - how did the EZE flight impact your BKK flight? In F I am not 100% sure I would be choosing QF over BA.

Now that is a nice enhancement ;)

I suspect thats where they got the replacement aircraft from.

Well... after poo-pooing a Falcon I don't know weather to thank you or spank you. How dare you rubbish falcons and engage in the age-old Australian car wars here on AFF

Maybe he was worried that the car would break down between terminals? After all, doesn't Ford stand for Fixed Or Repaired Daily, and hence was worried about another connection mishap?
