I had a JASA yesterday SYD-MEL, which was my qualifier for WP, as I wanted FLounge before a MEL-SIN today. However, the online system and BP didn't reflect my new status today. I called Qantas, and initially was told I couldn't access FLounge until the system updated. Grumble grumble...

I was very pleasantly surprised two hours later when, while at the airport I was playing through my mind how I was going to convince FLounge staffer that I had flown the requisite miles, the same QF staffer called and explained that they'd 1)tried to manually update my status, and when that didn't work, 2) the manager called MEL Flounge manager and let them know I'd be coming. They turned what was becoming an inconvenience and annoyance into a memorable business trip and introduction to the FLounge.

Thanks Qantas, and also AFF for teaching me about JASAs, FLounges, WPs, etc.

Nice QF.

Thanks for posting OP, my status hasn't updated either. Nice to know it appears to be a system wide problem.

I would be putting in a kind word via the normal feedback mechanisms to ensure someone who lets common sense get recognized over rules, gets the recognition they deserve, any organization needs more of those people!

What a great story - well done QF & exRAAF

Flounging is the only way to fly:mrgreen:
