Qantas Holidays are giving 5000 bonus points for Australian air and land packages booked between 19 January and 28 February for travel between 1 February and 30 June 2011.

I stopped looking when Qantas Holidays stopped giving away 10,000 bonus points for domestic flight and hotel packages a couple of years ago.

Booked a couple of these trips for ~$300 each and earned well over 12,000 QFF points for flights and bonus.

Will have a look and see if any bargains stand out....

Where is this offer noted?

It was included in the monthly email I receive from Qantas advising me of my January points balance.

it appears under the Earning Points banner and is described as Ultimate Aussie Holidays plus bonus points and is shown as a Package

Oddly, when I log on to the Qantas site and look under Book- Packages it is not there.

If you contact Qantas holidays I'm sure they will explain it to you.

The offer notes "Qantas Holidays is offering a bonus 5,000 Qantas Frequent Flyer points^ when you book a combined air and land package anywhere in Australia."

Yet the offer at the bottom looks enticing:

Prepackaged Holiday Deals - Bonus 5000 points^!

Tropical North Queensland from $550*
Queensland Islands from $680*
NSW & Sydney from $337*
Victoria & Melbourne from $334*
Northern Territory from $533*
Broome from $774*
South Australia from $430*
Perth & Margaret River from $275*
Hertz from $51*

It’s not a combined rate though, but $51 plus a couple flights isn’t bad for 5000 points :D

Trying to see if there are any standout value for money deals but nothing so far.

Interesting that when requesting a flight + hotel package from MEL-HBA the only options listed for the flights are JQ. Has QF stopped flying to HBA?

We took part in this promotion, waiting ....waiting... waiting for the points to post...! Well finally some points have posted today, just the normal 1pt per $1 points, nothing about the 5,000 bonus.

My question to anybody out there who has participated in a Qantas Holidays bonus promotion is, do the bonus points post at the same time as the 1pt per $1...? Or does the bonus follow some time later...?

Have a quick fax ready to go to chase the points up but perhaps I am shooting off a bit quick and the bonus points will follow over the next day or two...?

Should I wait or hassle them up now...?:p
