Calling wine loving AFFers!

We're running another interactive feedback session and are again exclusively inviting AFF members to join us in the think tank.

This time, we're specifically looking for Qantas Frequent Flyer members who use the Qantas epiQure website to provide their insight in a 1hr session on either Tuesday 18 August, Wednesday 19 August or Thursday 20 August. Held in at 6pm in Surry Hills (Sydney, NSW), the research is to help improve our customer's digital experience with the Qantas epiQure website.

If you would like to participate and are available as per above, please send me a private message with your name, Qantas Frequent Flyer number and answers to the below 3 questions:

1. What feature of the website do you use the most?
2. What functionality would you like to see added to the website?
3. What new products and/or services would you like to see Qantas epiQure introduce?

Like many of you, I'm not a huge fan of the dreaded "in 25 words or fewer" line, but please do keep your message brief. Dot points are fine. :)

Should you be selected, we will be providing 10,000 Qantas Points as a token of our appreciation for your time and feedback at the session.

To be considered, your entry must be submitted by 12pm Friday 14 August (Sydney, AEST). Please also ensure your Qantas Frequent Flyer profile is updated with a current email address and contact numbers.

Looking forward to the great answers, and thanks in advance for your interest.

Cheers!

NB/ I have contacted Australian Frequent Flyer (AFF) and they have approved this post. AFF has no financial interest in this offer, and will not be involved in the selection process. The AFF Admin team (including Moderators) are welcome to enter.

Sounds great! As a bit of a wine nut I'd love to be involved. Is Qantas providing flights for those who don't live in Sydney?

I do apologise for the short notice on this occasion.

Though flights and accommodation will not be provided, these sessions are not limited to Sydney-siders. Please feel free to submit an entry if you're in Sydney and available as above.

This sounds positive.

But I am one of those extremely rare epiQure (+Aquire & Business direct) customers who does not live in SYD

I am not in Sydney either but in Manly. Seven miles from Sydney and a million miles from care. Not sure why those conducting market research think the CBD is not the centre of the universe. ;) No wonder marketing is never skewed toward normal people. If Epiqure venture across the harbour I'm a starter...maybe Andye would give it a go too.

If Epiqure want some free market research they should read this thread. Getting rid of their current (woeful) delivery contractors would be a good move.

+1

Of all the wine I purchase requiring delivery, AP has the poorest service - OT but when delivery is charged separately it has always been the dearest.

Good delivery from Cellarmasters and DM, both of whom do not use AP.

I don't live in Sydney but have been thinking about going up there for a couple of things. When do you expect participants to be notified (so can make arrangements in a timely manner, if required)?

(And I'm also wondering if your market research people consider if they get a skewed sample from these Sydney events. ;) )

I would love to attend, but wont be in SYD on those days. I am passing through on Friday, haha, but have an event to get to in MEL.

In the spirit of the feedback though...

1. I'm not sure. I guess the feature that allows me to buy wines with bonus points? I haven't purchased event tickets there yet as nothing has come up that was both convenient to get to and interesting/good value enough for me to bite.
2. Again, I'm not sure. Perhaps I'm not needed for this event after all as I'm drawing a blank.
3. Finally, something I can answer. Whilst I understand the focus is very much on wine and events, with an emphasis placed on what can be found onboard or in a lounge, it would be nice to expand to ciders, spirits, perhaps beers and possibly even fine foods. I would love for epiQure to become some sort of Deli for cheeses (try sending that in the mail) and cured meats of the Qantas quality standard.

I appreciate Sydney is your place of business, but I think you'll get a different mix of responses if you moved the sessions away from Sydney sometimes. I hear the Qantas Clubs have good meeting room facilities ;)

I think we have scared the Red Roo away with real world responses...;)

RR, if the company would like to organise the next event in ADL then I'll be the first to put my name down. This *is* the home of Australian wine after all ;)

And that can be my 25 (ish)-word entry too :)

Thanks for all the great responses received so far. Some common themes, and some very interesting comments. :)

Unfortunately, we’re needing to postpone the feedback sessions to a time later in September. I’ll update this thread with the new dates early next week.

Hopefully this still suits those who have already submitted their entries, and give an opportunity for others to participate.
