Looks like some form of charter.
Not sure about the specifics.
Are you able to purchase tickets?

According to the qantas source the LHR one is a religious charter, with the aircraft positioning from FRA, no FRA service for Sunday.

Exclusive Brethren charter again guys, think there will be a few more in the next few months ex Australia.

Organized religion is big business. More of this might help QFi out of the whole they seem to be in financially.

Will this have something to do with VH-OQG (A380) showing as working QF6002 London Heathrow - Frankfurt earlier today - currently the latest info for this beast on Flight Aware? Will this be a first for a QF A380 in Frankfurt?

Have had a lot to do with brethren in my business. Would consider them to be amongst my best customers. Mostly very nice people, however you are always friendly but never a friend

QF get their heavy maintenance done at FRA for the A380s.

Learn something new every day. I also noticed VH-OQL had transferred from Singapore to Manilla for refurbishment in the last couple of days so only 10 of the 12 A380's currently in service. I would have thought they would have tried to keep 11 available at the minute and switched between heavy maintenance and refurbishment. Anyway, thanks for that markis10, I am taking the content OT from the original post.

I can confirm both charter flights from LHR and LAX are both from the same group. Both are charters for the 'Hughes Travel Trust'.

Yep, thats brethren

So charter must make more money than the FRA flight. No wonder FRA has had it from QF's perspective.
