What do Qantas crew know about you?

Interested to hear if Qantas crews have any information on their manifest about customers.

Obviously status is one... is that all they would be able to tell or could they view things like how much you paid for your ticket, if its an award flight, what sort of customer you are?

Interesting question. I am sure that they (or at least the boss) has a list of frequent flyers with status, but I doubt that anything else is there (such as cost of ticket and if it is an award, etc) There would be no point in them having such info. But I could be wrong. (My Dutch heritage allows me to have opinions on matters such as these where I have no real info :) )

(eg. favourite drink, seat preferences, service recovery notes etc)
 
On a recent BNE-CNS flight in J the CSM actually made reference to my (one and only thus far) status run that I did in August last year. I can only assume he garnered that info from the ipad. Made me very curious to ask what else it had on there about me!!!

That is bizarre! Unless he had access to your activity history. Very strange.
 

Thanks! Interesting. Especially the comments that QF staff had info on employment details. A couple of years ago on a BNE - LAX flight the CSM commented on my work - I am a tad hard of hearing so didn´t really believe what I had Heard. But it appears that other´s have experienced same!! I have NO idea where they could have got my employement details from.

Mine is in my profile and it has been mentioned when ringing up about bookings and IIRC on board.

I am not surprised they know about my work, as I use it for the mail-outs (work pays half the cost of QP) but have only had one "what do DMA do" question so far. But the only other thing they have ever mentioned was SWMBO's birthday on a J trip last year. Normally as PS I wouldn't expect much interest from FAs anyway. But listening to them talk to higher status pax they do seem to have a lot of info at the finger tips.
 
Was traveling to SIN in Y return the other week, and the CSM came up to introduced himself and made sure I was comfortable. He was well aware I was traveling back the next day on QF 36.
They know more than you think.....!:confused:

They know if you are staff. A CSM told me this so they know who to call on if assistance is required in an emergency for example.
 
If you want to know, ask, they are happy to show you, it was quite interesting looking back at what was a few years of travel and a lot of notes from the CSM's
 
They can see when you hit your last Status milestone. While on a status run, comment was made that I had hit SG on a recent(ish) flight from DXB - I had just hit WP the flight before (but it had not yet posted of course).

Yes a friend of mine was congratulated on board for recently hitting Gold and given an extra drink to celebrate which was a small but nice touch which he was really chuffed about.

When I travel with my VIP clients I also get tagged as VIP which is a real treat :)
 
Well, my first two flights as a new WP went completely unnoticed by QF. Maybe because I was in J for both or maybe because they just didn't give a **** or maybe they didn't even know (although my status had been updated in time). Meh!!
 
I asked the CSM on Monday. He wouldn't show me "due to privacy" :rolleyes: but he was happy to tell me what it said. Stuff about status, stuff about previous service recovery episodes, whether you're on the feedback panel. Most interesting was something about a 'net promoter' score. I suppose it's something about ability to influence others and promote QF. He didn't really explain it very clearly.

I had the privacy thing as well last Saturday on my domestic flight. It's an interesting excuse as I thought privacy laws give the individual the ability to see the information held about them. I suppose a formal request to head office would be required.
