Sorry, a bit of an impatient question - I've seen it discussed before but could not pull it up in a search.

My wife cleared PS on 12/06 and SG on 14/06. PS posted on Qantas.com by 17/06 and SG by 18/06.

How long does it take for Qantas to post out the updated QFF cards? Given the proximity of the dates on which she cleared each tier, would it be correct to assume she will go straight to SG and will not receive the PS card + QP invite?

Allow three weeks, though many people have reported delivery of the new kits in 7 to 10 days. Its anyone's guess as to whether she will receive Silver and Gold kits a few days apart.

Your wife will be receiving both the PS (+ QP invite) and SG cards in the mail even though she qualified within a day or so of each other. Assuming the printing/making and delivery of the card is all perfectly timed, the PS should come a day before the SG card ;)

Sometime during week 3 for me, recently (I was away from home so don't know what actual day).

Ah but!Mrsdrron has 1095 SCs YTD but is still NB.This friday she will take her 4th QF sector so qualifies for both PS and SG the very same second. Now will she get 2 cards?

We had the same problem initially - Mrs Djf wouldn't have made the four qualifying flights prior to the DONE4 and thereby would not be bumped up until after she passes the WP threshold later this year.

But fate intervened and she had to take a trip just prior - and she has been cursing me ever since for turning a quick jaunt up to OOL on JQ into a three legged MR through BNE on QF. On the other hand, she wasn't complaining when she saw the 'QFF GOLD ONEWORLD SAPPHIRE' on her BPs. ;)

Interesting, I requalified for SG level in March and still haven't received my new card. Lots of QF flights (about 15) so no problems there. Renewal date is end of Nov. My statement shows I have achieved the requisite 600 SCs.

Should I call Qantas and ask if there is a problem?

No need. They know you've renewed for the year, but won't process it until about 1 month (or maybe it's 2!) before your expiry. Then you'll get the nice renewal pack in the mail.

Slightly off topic but related. I've been gold for quite a few years now - sadly never close to Platnum but also never at risk of dropping to Silver.

I have misplaced both my luggage tags (well I lost them somewhere in Europe, most likely when flying on Aer Lingus and I was lucky to get my bags back in one piece).

Any way I can get new tags? You think with the thousands of dollars I spend on airfares in a year they could afford to give you new ones each year.

I have e-mailed Qantas before after I lost my WP tags. About a week later 4 new tags arrived in the mail.

I can't recall which sub-category in the feedback form I used though.

I got my new SG card 10 days after I requalified.

In my experience Silver, Gold or Platinum kits arrive 10 to 14 days after reaching the relevant status....

If requalified well beforehand, Renewal kits arrive ~8 weeks before the end of your QFF "Year".

No problem. You just need to get 800 SC more and they will send a WP pack :)

Interesting.

My wife's SG card and package arrived today (12 days from clearance, maybe 7 or 8 days from posting on QF.com).

No sign of a PS card + QP invite - despite the fact that she earned SG a day or two after PS, PS posted for at least three or four days prior to SG, so they should have had some time to contemplate sending out the PS card prior to her making SG.

So perhaps QF's system is able to account for a difference of a few days between achieveing tiers - FWIW, it's now been three weeks since I got to AA PLT, and no sign of their card yet (but to be fair, they do have a greater distance to post). :)

90 minutes ago mrsdrron completed her 4th QF sector this year which will get her both PS and SG as she will have 1115 SCs.Her summary still says SCs to acheive silver=0.The timer is on!;)

Mrsdrron is now gold.285 SCs to platinum. She now has more status than me.Hopefully when she is WP she will guest me into the Flounge.

I'm hoping Mrs Djf similarly shares the glory when she gets to WP (and possibly is even more generous by clearing PG so I can be the 'P'). ;)
