If you've been jarred by the credit card changes announced by the Big Four banks this week, take a look at the Qantas American Express Premium Card!
With no limit to the number of points you can earn, you'll pick up 2.25 Qantas Points per dollar spent direct with Qantas, such as when booking your flights in Australian dollars or paying for Qantas Club lounge membership, and 1.25 Qantas Points per dollar spent on almost all of your other purchases (including with insurers, utilities and telcos which previously awarded fewer points). Government spend awards 1 Qantas Point per $2 spent - and again, there's no points capping to get in your way.
That's not even the best part: apply via this link and you'll also earn a bonus 40,000 Qantas Points after spending at least $1,500 on the card within the first 3 months - that's 10,000 more Qantas Points than you'd earn by applying via the usual page!
(By applying via my link I'll receive 10,000 Qantas Points if you're successful, while you also receive 10,000 more points than you'd earn by applying via the public deal (40,000 vs 30,000) - so much like an Uber referral, it's a win-win!)
Also thrown in with the Premium Card are two Qantas Club airport lounge passes each year (valid in domestic Qantas Club lounges and Qantas international business class lounges), plus domestic and international travel insurance.
Let's say you normally spend around $4,000 per month on your current credit card. Move that spend to this card and you'd be earning 5,000 Qantas Points per month or 60,000 Qantas Points per year - plus the further 40,000 bonus Qantas Points when signing up. That's an impressive 100,000 Qantas Points earned in the first 12 months: enough for a return upgrade from economy to business class on flights to Singapore or Hong Kong.
The card costs just $249 per year - and when you consider the perks you receive in return like lounge access, points for upgrades or free flights, travel insurance and more, you should have no trouble getting more than $249 back in value from the card!
So what are you waiting for?
You can apply here today!
(When clicking the link, you'll first see the blue Qantas Discovery card, but you can access this great offer simply by clicking on the gold-coloured Qantas Premium card either at the top right or the bottom left of the screen.)
I hope you've found my summary helpful! I recently applied for an AMEX card via an AFF referral link, so am hoping a fellow member can 'pay it forward' by applying through mine to keep the points flowing all around!
