An (inconvenient) workaround for multitrip bookings is to search for each trip as a separate one-way journey.
I just pieced together a London-Shanghai-Melbourne trip (with a night in Shanghai) for early November.

Is the error message "We are experiencing connectivity difficulties".?
This is what I get all the time when attempting a multi-trip booking, on the second leg...

For the last 30 minutes any attempt to update booking details gives message "We are experiencing connectivity difficulties".
P.S. this happens when trying to select the 2nd flight in a 3 destination "Multi-destination Itinerary"
