Have you topped up a UK pension to cover gaps?

How odd! And thanks for the tip to ring. I'm expecting some kind of "more required" response from them but have no idea how to produce more than what I have. Will post an update here.

Have you topped up a UK pension to cover gaps?

I only just submitted mine last week. It's been 18 years since I left Scotland and I have had about 13 different employments since that time (as is the nature of contract work) and had to really dig deep to find dates. Many contracts only lasted a few months and so the dates are approximate...

The Dark side of Japan Tourism.

Bucket list of countries to visit: Japan I am gobsmacked by all this, just gobsmacked. I will never again assume anything about another country's legal system. Thank you, @drron for enlightening us by sharing your story. I'm so sorry you had to undergo such an ordeal.

Take care when purchasing Apple gift cards

That's really good that they proactively checked the numbers for you. I purchased a card recently and only when I was in the processes of checking out did I think to check for tampering. The cashier was very frustrated at the 5 second interruption while I did that.

Qantas Travel Money changing to Qantas Pay - May 2024

I'm ready to ditch my QP card too. Should have done it years ago. I would like to replace it with a fee free (for overseas transactions) debit/visa debit card that doesn't get complicated with minimum amounts deposited in order to be fee free. Looks like Macquarie Bank Transaction Card is the...

Oneworld Classic Flight Reward Discussion - The Definitive Thread

No. Selecting a mixture of classes is available at the time of initial booking but the highest class booked will determine the entire fare at that level. (E.g. if you only have one J class and the rest are Y then the whole ticket is priced as J.)

    Coles gift card offers

Yes! This! Yay! (Sorry, I thought you were being derisive, but realise now you were just missing a cognitive piece of the puzzle.)

    Coles gift card offers

They cost $5 per card to activate. I don't redeem them for Coles points, I use them for J class rewards which offers more than $5 worth of value. 7+2=9. Perhaps an arithmetic refresher is what you're missing? ;)

Not everyone's situation is the same and one size does not fit all. Besides, as you know, these things are a PIA so the quicker I can get rid the better for my inner calm. As always, YMMV!

It's worth being aware that monthly (or longer) AirBnB stays have become significantly less common in Paris after the government introduced the need for a "mobility lease" in the majority of cases. All rented properties must be registered with the local council and there is a limit on the...

Changing Classic rewards booking to more than a year from original departure

This scenario is exactly why I never book return reward tickets. I always book them one way (or RTW).

Up to 35,000 Velocity points for switching to AGL Energy

I tried the online chat once but only got so far before being told I'd have to ring. A few posts back up this thread someone posted the complaints number. I'd recommend ringing that number. I still had to call them 2-3 times to get it resolved, but they didn't make matters worse which is what...

Have you topped up a UK pension to cover gaps?

I only have rough dates (approximate month - it was 18 years ago!) for my final date with my company in the UK and move to Australia. Has anyone applied successfully for Class 2 with approximate dates?
