    Buying Velocity points

Thanks, good to know. I'm new to Velocity (having been a QFF collector for years until I saw sense!) but a massive fan of SQ after recently travelling quite a few long haul flights in J with them. So I'm predominantly looking to convert Velocity to Krisflyer.

Why obviously? Aren't SQ suites avail with Velocity points?

Have you topped up a UK pension to cover gaps?

Not when 3 years is the minimum period for working. But she can call up her record and take a look at what it says - you never know (mine says I contributed 9 years worth when I only lived in the UK as a working adult for 6 so go figure!). She'll need her social security number. 1720350493 Any...

Have you topped up a UK pension to cover gaps?

Do you qualify for the Class 2 payments? If so the amount you have to pay to top up will significantly decrease. That's what I'm in the process of applying for. (although I confess - I'd like to have all the questions up front before I start the application so that I can gather all my...

I didn't know this was possible! Thanks so much for the warning.

Up to 35,000 Velocity points for switching to AGL Energy

:mad::mad: FFS they have credited me with 3,000 x 2 as an existing customer, and not 30K as a new one (which I am). Here we go, phone call #9 😤

Up to 35,000 Velocity points for switching to AGL Energy

Well I don't have the points yet. Just another promise that it's "actually gone through" this time (I've heard this twice before!) Thank you for this, I didn't know there was such a number. I think I will contact them regardless. If the points come through then I will complain that no...

Up to 35,000 Velocity points for switching to AGL Energy

Thanks, @MattA. She managed to get the Velocity Membership number to take, she applied the sign up bonus, then applied an addition $50 credit to my account to apologize for the inconvenience. However, the sign up bonus she added was only $100 because that's what is currently on offer. When I...

Up to 35,000 Velocity points for switching to AGL Energy

Thanks guys. Now the agent is asking me for my ID partner number (from Velocity). Aside from the membership number I don't believe there is one that the we the client needs to enter. Does anyone recall from their own sign up experience? (She entered the membership number in this field and it...

Up to 35,000 Velocity points for switching to AGL Energy

I still don't have my points. 45 days for both electricity and gas have long gone. EIGHT calls to AGL to resolve this, each one with a different story given but assurances that I am owed them and to wait for XYZ period of time. Has anyone received their points before a bill was issued...

Yes, he started off there. It won't let him do anything for the QF flights.

    The Qantas Newbie Questions Thread

My brother has booked tickets CDG-MEL with AF codesharing with QF. On the QF flights (AF numbers) he is able to MMB and select seats on the QF site but he cannot specifically select a vegetarian meal. I have logged onto his booking page and his profile shows that his preference is set to V but...

To clarify, what have you been trying to apply for?

Have you topped up a UK pension to cover gaps?

Oh how helpful! Was it easy enough to get the Class 2 after that? I'll have to wait until next week to sit and do the online version. (The financial adviser websites all say how difficult it is...but then I suppose they would, wouldn't they?!)

Have you topped up a UK pension to cover gaps?

No, it's the amount the system tells me I must pay. However, the Future Pension agent I spoke to on the phone earlier confirmed that this is not necessarily the sum I will end up paying. I need to submit the CF83 (as mentioned above) to apply and then HMRC will contact me with an updated...

Have you topped up a UK pension to cover gaps?

Citizenship doesn't come into it actually (although I too am a UK citizen). The UK State Pension is for any worker, not just those who are also citizens.

Have you topped up a UK pension to cover gaps?

Thanks! Yes I've read through that. My issue is that currently my contributions are listed as being £825/year which isn't the Class 2 amount so I need to work out how to change that but there doesn't seem to be any information on just how to do that - it all talks about if you are self-employed...

Have you topped up a UK pension to cover gaps?

Cheers. It's how to actually apply for the Class 2 bit that I'm a bit stuck on and think I need some expert help on - the rest I've done.

FINNAIR - new Business Class AirLounge seat

Helpful review, @Chrizztofa, thank you. Did you see anyone asking for extra pillows and were they given? I wonder if they'd even help the issue your mother experienced (which I've read others say as well)...
