That's my point, offically they have only devalued thier earn rate by 25% (Explorer 1.5PPD -> Charge 1.125PPD) or 33% (Explorer 1.5PPD -> Explorer 1PPD)

Its 0.825PPD on the Dragon inc BB. But yes that's one way of looking at it. You're paying around 1cpp @ 0.8%. But you're also limited by a small credit limit on dragon compared to Amex. Plus you're locked into VA/KF or QF. Amex gives you more than that. AM, EY, EK, TG, Marriot to name a few...

Anyone who's looking for a EBP alternative (or reward pay competitor) that takes Amex (@ 1.95% fee) I have a solution....

Called to cancel other day, they offered to waive the fee but told them no thanks since the points cap made the card useless even if it was fee free and to make sure they passed that feedback up the chain.... Thanks for the points over the years WOW.
