Whole Day Transit in Tokyo - HND to NRT

There is one train line (Keikyu) actually link HND & NRT, so you can choose a stop on that line, put things in a locker and check out the surrounding area. If it's me I'd stop in Higashi Ginza or Nihombashi. (That early in the morning probably more Nihombashi). Another way is go to Tokyo...

A short trip to Japan - Hokkaido

Ah, I remember having this conversation here with someone..... a few months ago maybe? The one @OZDUCK posted above is in T1. The one @RooFlyer went to was in T2 near Gate 4. There are 3 CI lounges in TPE. 3rd one is in T2 upstairs near the EVA lounges. This one usually is less crowded and have...

A short trip to Japan - Hokkaido

She had a theory that Miyajima is just so overrun by tourists that people simply can't be bothered anymore...apparently that was not the only bad service there but the worst.

Side note, a lot of English speaking people left the industry during covid... I find the service level drop off obvious in some cases... I'm speaking Japanese now to make up the gap but that's not possible for everyone! Friend of mine who speaks Japanese fluently found herself facing a lady in...

So this is what their website is saying: Various drinks on offer in the lounge, Juice & milk during breakfast, black tea, coffee, honey ginger tea after 9pm. Again, I don't drink so I might be completely off here but I don't think ryokans offer free alcoholic drinks in general. They will...

A short trip to Japan - Hokkaido

This was really odd...I didn't have any problems with anyone there...in fact I recalled excellent service all around! Things could have changed though, 8 years is a long time. But then I didn't leave the place once checked in or changed dinner time, nor do I drink....so can't really...

    Tearing around Taiwan

The National Palace Museum was amazing! There were free guided tours in English and Chinese several times a day. I joined a tour once and the lady was an expert on ceramics, she talked us through the various collections in great details, highly recommend!
