I didn't receive any points for my most recent water bill payment (Icon Water), even though I did for the previous quarter. I still received points for the electricity bill payment (ActewAGL), but I don't know that I'm game to trust them not to change it for the next quarter. :(

You're not alone. I finally received my offer, and it's only a Platinum card and 10,000 Qantas points. Perhaps I'm on their deadbeat list; I only used the card enough to trigger the extra 80,000 Qantas points, then stuck it in a drawer whilst waiting to see what the Amex offer was going to be.

Anyone here have any experience with combining the shareholder benefit and a bonus points sign-up offer on one of the eligible cards?

I didn't apply for this one either, due to them complicating things with the way they ask about credit card repayments. Maybe if they offer it again I'll reconsider it. I applied for the HSBC card instead, but that's an ongoing saga for the HSBC thread.

Re the $100 "Only 1" Visa cards at Coles, I managed to find one (they had two) at Coles Gungahlin yesterday. A long way from home, but I was over on that side of town running some errands for Mrs 2905, so it wasn't much of a detour. Others that I'd tried, but only found $50's..... Chisholm...

If you decide to transfer them to Velocity, but aren't in a hurry, you could wait until the next bonus offer. Based on past bonus offers, my guess is May for another 15% bonus, which would give you an extra 26,250 Velocity points.

I am, but I have to use Chrome to view / download them. Firefox doesn't seem to want to work for that part of it.

You can login to your Amex account, and download data for a specified date range. eg; Download "Year to Date" and play around with it with Excel (or whatever your preferred spreadsheet program is).
