Out of interest, was there any mention of getting rid of the “welcome to country” speech? It makes me so angry !

I wonder if any one ever responds in the affirmative to "Welcome back, is there anything I can help you with?" I would potentially ask for an inflight upgrade or a decent drink or whatever but never have bothered.

I agree. I earned OW as a Qantas flier. The answers from both San Francisco and Anchorage Alaska lounge agents was absolutely NO for my stated reasons!

My partner and I are off MEL-LAX tomorrow 3 june. On time departure noted on flight status. Interesting there are 2 departures LAX-MEL on 1 june 2024 -QF 94 and 96 one a 789 and one a A380. Maybe the extra flight is a catchup from a previous delay. Interesting Qantas is not the only airline...

Original operator American Airlines. They cut back from 3 to 2 flights per day. Now a disconnect. Asked QF to approach Alaskan to replace the flight. They did . Alaskan refused ! Will take your advice and check with AS at Los Angeles.

they sometimes release availability to Qantas 3 days prior to departure I have heard that but s often as I look 3 days ahead of the proposed departure date , once i put the origin and destination(DOH) in and push enter - the screen just goes black !

Good thought but Expertflyer also has the same times and dates as the QF booking engine as does Expedia. They all allow for legal connections for my intended flights. I would have thought that any winter changes would be reflected on all of these booking sites but they aren't. I am guessing that...

Looks like the A 380 reliability issues are not expected to be resolved soon . I have bookings on QF1 thru to London and onto European destinations this coming november and next march. Connecting flights have been changed to next services. Both conx were at or above the Minimum Connecting Time...

I share your sentiments - we are flying later on the arrival day to get to Fairbanks on a separate Alaskan ticket - 3 hour delay ok with the QF flight but things go pear shaped if it goes longer than that.

I am hoping that should my MEL-LAX flight be cancelled or drastically delayed , and there are no easy alternate options on QF metal or AA, how hard would a Platinum flier have to push to get put onto a United flight ? Any experience?
