    QANTAS talking to the disaffected!

Out of interest, was there any mention of getting rid of the “welcome to country” speech? It makes me so angry !

    QANTAS talking to the disaffected!

I wonder if any one ever responds in the affirmative to "Welcome back, is there anything I can help you with?" I would potentially ask for an inflight upgrade or a decent drink or whatever but never have bothered.

    QANTAS talking to the disaffected!

I would like Qantas to become more competitive with Asian/Middle East carriers by offering something like decent business class meals ( not just vegeterian / grassy / full of seeds offerings.) Similarly how about offering wines in J that actually cost more than $10 a bottle at Dan Murphys I...

Oneworld Classic Flight Reward Discussion - The Definitive Thread

I haven’t been able to access all the info I heard from the agents yet. The Anchorage lady linked me to this site in relation to my first class ticket.Pax only allowed Entry to the Alaska Lounge when traveling on a paid First Class or a First Class award ticket* on flights operated by Alaska...

I agree. I earned OW as a Qantas flier. The answers from both San Francisco and Anchorage Alaska lounge agents was absolutely NO for my stated reasons!

Oneworld Classic Flight Reward Discussion - The Definitive Thread

Likely relevant to this thread is my recent experience re Alaska Lounges access for Qantas passengers . I have travelled on 4 separate Alaska flights in the last week and can tell you that having a revenue or Reward first class ticket may not get you into a Alaskan Lounge. I am Oneworld Emerald...

Qantas A380 reliability issues creeping up again?

Pilot referred to potential turbulence until cruising height .Presumably this was when seat belt off sign occurred but still it was 60 minutes untii drinks arrived.

Qantas A380 reliability issues creeping up again?

To report back, QF 93 MEL to LAX left pretty well on time-ok 30 minutes late but thats fair enough. Arrived LAX 45 minutes late but again thats ok. Service was unbelievably slow in J -2 hours before a post take off drink ! Meals were ok - the hinterland beef was incredibly over cooked but edible...

Qantas A380 reliability issues creeping up again?

No, for my sins, I'm a Qantas regular traveller. I did have a backup plan to request a transfer on SYD or MEL to SFO on UA if the MEL A380 service is signifigantly delayed. Having flown several signifigantly delayed A380s SYD- LAX in the last 6 months with missed connections , I am a bit...

Qantas A380 reliability issues creeping up again?

My partner and I are off MEL-LAX tomorrow 3 june. On time departure noted on flight status. Interesting there are 2 departures LAX-MEL on 1 june 2024 -QF 94 and 96 one a 789 and one a A380. Maybe the extra flight is a catchup from a previous delay. Interesting Qantas is not the only airline...

    Interline agreement

Original operator American Airlines. They cut back from 3 to 2 flights per day. Now a disconnect. Asked QF to approach Alaskan to replace the flight. They did . Alaskan refused ! Will take your advice and check with AS at Los Angeles.

Oneworld Classic Flight Reward Discussion - The Definitive Thread

they sometimes release availability to Qantas 3 days prior to departure I have heard that but s often as I look 3 days ahead of the proposed departure date , once i put the origin and destination(DOH) in and push enter - the screen just goes black !

    Interline agreement

Agree , sadly my AA award flight MEL - LAX-SEA was cancelled and only offered MEL-LAX-SFO and no award seats beyond that - left me with no choice but to pay a revenue fare with Alaskan SFO-SEA. So no chance of a single ticket. How can I make sure AS "can see the bag tag number in their pnr" -...

    Interline agreement

Just another question on interlining baggage on different tickets . I have done it in the past - about a year ago but from what I read , It is getting harder with some airlines . I'm travelling MEL-LAX( QF) LAX-SFO (AA) on a QF award ticket connecting with an Alaska airlines revenueticketed...

Qantas A380 reliability issues creeping up again?

Good thought but Expertflyer also has the same times and dates as the QF booking engine as does Expedia. They all allow for legal connections for my intended flights. I would have thought that any winter changes would be reflected on all of these booking sites but they aren't. I am guessing that...

Qantas A380 reliability issues creeping up again?

Looks like the A 380 reliability issues are not expected to be resolved soon . I have bookings on QF1 thru to London and onto European destinations this coming november and next march. Connecting flights have been changed to next services. Both conx were at or above the Minimum Connecting Time...

Qantas A380 reliability issues creeping up again?

I share your sentiments - we are flying later on the arrival day to get to Fairbanks on a separate Alaskan ticket - 3 hour delay ok with the QF flight but things go pear shaped if it goes longer than that.

Qantas A380 reliability issues creeping up again?

I am hoping that should my MEL-LAX flight be cancelled or drastically delayed , and there are no easy alternate options on QF metal or AA, how hard would a Platinum flier have to push to get put onto a United flight ? Any experience?
